The NSW Waratahs are looking for an experienced Director of Performance to be responsible for shaping the strategy for the performance of elite players in Waratah rugby teams and player pathways as part of the integration with Rugby Australia.

The position is a key leadership role within the Australian and NSW rugby ecosystem and reports into the CEO, NSW Waratahs. Working closely with the CEO, the Director of Performance will lead High Performance rugby strategy across the organisation and will have a significant impact on rugby right across the state of New South Wales.

To be successful, you will need to have:

• Strong experience of delivering in a high pressure and high-profile and high-performance environment.
• Gravitas and versatility to lead, inspire, and build strong relationships throughout the game.
• Intimate knowledge of High-Performance sport. Ideally in Rugby Union.
• Proven ability to make informed and assertive decisions.
• Performance management and development capabilities (players and staff).
• Vision, creativity, innovation and the ability to identify solutions to complex problems.
• Demonstrated experience of working with professional sports teams and high-profile sports personalities.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of rugby union in Australia, the NSW system in particular.
• Good knowledge and understanding of coaching and coach development.
• Outstanding strategic leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
